The Genomics and Metagenomics Research Program internship 2025

Overview
The Genomics and Metagenomics Research Program (GMRP) at CCHE 57357 Hospital is a cutting-edge research facility dedicated to advancing the fields of genomics, epigenomics, pharmacogenomics, and metagenomics through high-throughput, next-generation sequencing technologies and third-generation sequencing. As the first of its kind in Egypt, GMRP is equipped with state-of-the-art platforms for comprehensive genomic analyses, including whole genome sequencing, whole exome sequencing, transcript omics, microbiome profiling, and epigenomic mapping. These capabilities enable us to investigate the genetic and epigenetic underpinnings of complex diseases and the dynamics of microbial communities in clinical and environmental contexts. Our lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding of antimicrobial resistance, viral genomics, and cancer biology. Through these diverse research areas, we aim to address critical health challenges and contribute significantly to both basic and applied biomedical science.
