Radiation Therapist Summer internship 2025
Overview
Throughout this training, participants will gain a foundational understanding of the primary role of external beam therapy. The training will highlight the impact of external beam therapy on biological systems and cancer cells, providing a brief discussion on each phase of the radiotherapy treatment process.
Learning Objectives
by the end of this training participant will be able to:
• Understand the history, progress, and advances in Radiotherapy.
• Recognize the need for accuracy in Radiotherapy.
• Grasp the principles of CT simulation for radiation therapy planning.
• Understand the role of MRI in radiation therapy planning.
• Acquire knowledge of the applications of Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) for precise treatment.
• Familiarize yourself with the functionality of Linac for accurate radiation delivery.
