Abdelrahman (Abdel) Y. Fouda, B.Pharm., Ph.D.
Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), specializes in central nervous system injury research, focusing on the retina and brain. His work explores immune cell involvement in conditions like diabetic retinopathy and stroke, aiming to develop new therapies.
Dr. Fouda has secured over $4.5 million in funding, holds two patents, and has published 47+ papers. He leads a team of nine and actively contributes to leadership and education at UAMS, ARVO, and led a workshop at 57357 Hospital in 2024.
