Critical Care Course For Nursing

Overview
This course emphasizes essential knowledge and skills to perform effectively and efficiently in the critical care discipline. It ensures the delivery of safe, holistic, and high-quality care to patients. Additionally, it enables nurses to develop the capabilities and competencies required for managing specific treatment plans for critical illnesses, including care planning, health education, and follow-up.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this, training / course participants will be able to:
- Identify a specific theoretical knowledge related to nursing, pharmacology, and medical care to understand physiological and psychosocial responses to critical health disruptions.
- Develop a system to evaluate health status, identify responses to critical health disruptions, and define learning needs of critically ill patients and their families.
- Integrate knowledge from nursing and other disciplines to formulate nursing intervention strategies for patients experiencing critical health disruptions.
- Analyze theoretical knowledge to help the staff in providing high quality nursing care.
- Evaluate the value of collaboration in the care of the critical ill, and those with system specific disorders.
- Reflect on legal and ethical issues related to critical nursing.
- To perform CPR on victims.
